19th Century Antique Korean Carved Tree Grain Chest

Late 19th century cylindrical storage chest, made out of the trunk of a tree. Wood sides smoothed and stained a dark brown. Lid opens at the top with brass hardware. Originally used to store rice and other dry grains in 19th century Korean homes. Brought from South Korea and maintained by one family for generations.
