Alexandra Becket
Textile artist Alexandra Becket creates one of a kind hand painted fabric wall hangings, inspired by the midcentury modernist architecture of California. Alexandra was born and raised in Los Angeles, from a family rooted in design and architecture. Her grandfather, architect Welton Becket, designed some of LA's most iconic buildings including the Capitol Records building, the LAX Theme building, and the Pan Pacific Auditorium. For this installation, she is showcasing some of her favorite buildings by Becket and other California architects, including John Lautner, William Cody, and AC Martin.

Sam Fielding
British photographer Sam Fielding was born in Kent in the early 70s. She had a fascination with visual imagery from a very young age. Sam took a job as an assistant to a portrait photographer, Peter Zownir, and after working for a number of other acclaimed portrait and fashion photographers, Sam took to the road. Her wanderlust led her to Africa and Asia. The photographs from these trips have been shown with great acclaim throughout Europe.
In 1996, her creative curiosity brought her to California, where she has worked in both film and photography for the last ten years.
In this, her most recent retrospective, she embarked in a cross-country road trip on a 1983 Air Stream RV, camera in tow, to capture the America seen here in the exhibit, Made In America. The images show an intuitive perspective into the history of America through a defining time in industry - vehivles, machinery, and nature.
